Data Engineer

Job Description

FreeDOM Development is looking for a Data Engineer responsible for developing projects of our clients within our service. Your primary focus will be on implementing jobs to load data to a cluster and to prepare data for later analytics. You will collaborate with business users, solution architects, and data scientists. A thorough understanding of all of the components of our platform and infrastructure is required.

Responsibilities

Writing ingestion workflows to Hadoop clusters
Cleaning and preparing data
Writing prototypes
Operating clusters and investigating performance

Skills and Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of working experience
Good experience in at least one of the following languages: Python or Java
Basic Experience with Relational Databases, SQL and NoSQL
Basic Experience with Big Data platforms such as Hadoop
Basic Experience with Container Technologies such as Docker
Basic Experience with Linux
Basic Experience and the desire to work with technologies such as Spark and Kafka
Professional, precise communication skills
Fluent English speaking and writing skills
Knowledge of German language is a plus
